Literature
Baukje J. L. Coenen, ‘The drawings of the Haarlem Amateur Leendert van der Cooghen’, Master Drawings, vol XLII, no. I, 2005, C14, p. 71
An attribution to Leendert van der Cooghen has been suggested. However, Baukje Coenen has examined the drawing and considers it closer to Cornelis Visscher. It is closely comparable to two drawings by that artist in the musée du Louvre (see Frits Lugt, ‘Inventaire General des Dessins des Écoles du Nord, École Hollandaise’, no. 867 and 870).
