    Note:

    In 1914 Franz Stassen completed a series of 120 designs to illustrate Richard Wagner’s four cycles of Der Ring des Nibelungen. The designs were lithographed and published, in the reverse sense, by Weise & Co. and Ludwig Schroeter, Berlin, in 1914-1930. At least three of these drawings were included in the publication: plate 1, Vorspiel; plate 9, Walhall; and plate 109, Siegfrieds Leiche.
