    posthumous sale of Delacroix’s studio, Paris, Hotel Drouot, 22-27 February 1864
    acquired in the 1960’s by a Private collector, London
    thence by descent to the present owner

    Note:

    Related to the painting executed in 1847, exhibited at the Salon the following year, and now in the National Gallery, Oslo.
